Here at MCH we are exploring ways to strengthen the development, support, and connection of hockey officials across Mid Canterbury. A key first step is to bring together a small group of interested and experienced people to help guide a short pilot focused on growing and supporting our officiating community. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝: • Provide input into key challenges and opportunities for officiating locally • Help shape and support a small pilot programme (e.g. mentoring, workshops, or connecting officials) • Offer practical insights based on experience within the game Importantly, an 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥. We are looking for people from across the hockey community who are willing to support and assist our officials, and contribute positively to their development and experience. This is not intended to be a formal committee, but rather a small, collaborative group contributing to a focused piece of work over the season.
